I've long had a fascination with the harpsichord. There is, of course, plenty to choose from in 17th and 18th century music; but little beyond the beginning of the 19th century. I do have a couple of recordings of the Falla, a concerto by Martin, and the Concertino by Leigh. I'm wondering if there are any other recordings of 20th century harpsichord concertos. For that matter, is there anything of note from the mid to late 19th century?

Such good taste!
There is, of course,
Louis Andriesson has written some lovely music for harpsichord (have a look at http://composers21.com/compdocs/andriesl.htm). And Respighi wrote music such as Ancient Airs and Dances (based on old tunes) using harpsichord.
All the best

Off the top of my head... Ades (I think?), Gorecki, Penderecki (Partita), Poulenc.

Concetos by:
Gorecki, Richard Rodney Bennett, Gerhard, de Falla, Nyman (also wrote solo pieces) - and, of course, Schnittke.
Cyril Scott wrote one - haven't seen a recording, Glass wrote one last year - not seen a CD yet.

I'll just put it in a word for the Poulence ('Concert champĂȘtre' - a wonderfully quirky, unpredictable piece. Pascal RogĂ©, ONF / Dutoit (Decca) are very good.

Don't forget the Poulenc Concert Champetre. There is also a HUGE amount of 20th century solo and chamber music for the harpsichord. I would say that there are at least 20 CDs out there of 20th century harpsichord music. Two of the best are a CD by harpsichordist Liesebeth Hoppen and a CD entitled 'Energy' by Elizabeth Chojnacka. There are works by Martinu, Delius, Carter, Rieti and many others.

Yes - I must have a look at some of those. I've been too much in the 17th century lately!

A live performance from 19 November 1949, with Wanda Landowska (the dedicatee), Leopold Stokowski and the Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra of New York may yet be available on Music and Arts CD-821. It is, in a word, wonderful.
The same orchestra had performed the work almost exactly a year before, only with Dimitri Mitropoulos conducting, and the composer himself at the (gulp) piano, surely as wrongheaded an idea for performing this work as there could have been at the time. This was included in the NYP's 'Historic Broadcasts' box, and I wish they had included anything else. I can only imagine the Wanda/Stoki performance was intended as a corrective.
By the way, the 'big tune' in the slow movement is the single most beautiful melody I know.
