I am looking to purchase a baby grand piano from a lady at our church. She is the original owner and has owned it for over 20 years. It is a Wurlitzer and I've seen several opinions that Wurlitzer is not a good quality brand, but I am interested in feedback in my particular situation. I played on it and it felt fine and I thought it had a good sound. The soft pedal needs some adjustment, but I figure that's probably normal and I know that the piano mover will make any necessary adjustments to the pedals after it's moved. It's only 3 thousand dollars and I definitely don't have room for anything bigger than a baby grand right now. I was initially interested when I found out it was only 3K and I didn't know what brand it was until I went to look at it. AND I didn't know the reputation of Wurlitzer until after coming home and looking it up online. Now I'm hesitant. Could it be that there are some good ones out there?

Well, Wurlitzer's definitely don't own a great reputation (and I think $3000 is terribly expensive, but that could be just me) - BUT(!) if you feel comfortable playing this piano and it feels right for you I would say go for it. Just this: don't buy it without trying out other piano's first.
