I can't claim to have heard nearly as many as you have but I must say that I have heard a number of them and the one that just blew my socks off on first hearing (and twenty-first as well) is the Sofronitsky. I have it on a Vista Vera Cd so don't know if there are other versions, but I just love this recording. Kreisleriana has for so long sounded like a technical exercise and I never really enjoyed it that much until running across this version. Give it a try!

Oops. Sorry if that wasn't clear: my post was only a follow-up to my previous Kreisleriana post, i.e. it only described versions I've acquired since then. The previous post (in which I mention Egorov and Sofronitsky) can be found here:
