Can you use the diskettes that come with the clavinova books in your computer and then use a midi program like 'cakewalk' to play them. In other words, are the midi files buried in some obscure Yamaha format or are these just plain midi files?

I'd like to buy the 'jazz piano no.2' book but since I own a P-80 and use 'cakewalk' as my sequencer, I'm not sure if this is sufficient.

The Clavinova disks are in a propriatary format called ESEQ. There are conversion programs available from one place, but the name escapes me. Maybe Wally can help with that one.
