does anyone have a general opinion about chinese produced pianos, quality, finish,tonal qualities,any brands to be recommended.

Perhaps I came through at a time when the Chinese piano was a fairly poor quality instrument, both in playability as well as sound quality, but I've never really been a fan of any of them. Although, it does come down to playing one to be happy and appreciate any instrument.
