I'd like to put all the various drum and bass MIDI files (all the styles, A-D, etc.) onto folders on my PC to use with sequencing software. Recording songs onto diskettes and transferring to PC that way is very tedious. What's the easiest way to download them all to my PC?

Connect your computer to your keyboard via MIDI and use a sequencer to record them directly into the PC.
Contact back if you need further details.

My sequencer software is on a desktop PC in another room from my Yamaha Clav CVP109. I'd love to pull all those wonderful sampled sounds off the clav as midi files. Is there a way to do this (other than one by one via diskette)?

Hey again, flash.
MIDI is just information, it doesn't have any sound attached to it. The MIDI information is routed to a sound bank which is MIDI compatible and the sound is generated.
This is why MIDI sounds vary from instrument / keyboard to keyboard. The sampled sounds contained on the clavinova are keyboard specific sounds. You might be able to buy sound fonts of the Clavinova to use on your PC, but there are far better quality instruments available nowadays.
Have a look for some VSTi instruments that you can use with your sequencing software and route the MIDI songs to that.
Again, post back if you want better / clearer information.
