This DVD set for auction claims to have rehearsal and concert footage of Vaclav Neumann, Carlos Kleiber, Georg Solti, Ferenc Fricsay and Hermann Scherchen. Performances are from the 1960's with the Suddeutsche Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra. Anybody seen this? How good is the quality? Is it old German television footage? Are the performances complete? It's a Hong Kong issue (perhaps a pirate from a Japanese source?) on four DVD's.

I recently acquired this on a Japanese laserdisc box set in the closeout department at Tower in NYC. It appears to have been done for German television in the 1960's. The rehearsals are conducted in German with Japanese subtitles, but even if you understand neither language, this is fascinating footage of some great conductors, including some who are rarely seen on video or film.
