I'm just at the beginning of a 1965 Met Forza with Corelli, Tucci, Bastianini, Grillo and Tozzi - Nello Santi conducting. Good sound on Gala GL100,725. Every time I hear Tucci I am reminded of how good she was, and how we would treasure her now (and should have treasured her more in her day). So far (through 'Madre, pietosa Vergine' this is a wonderful performance - though lacking some of the grandeur and intensity provided by better conductors (Mitropoulos, Serafin, etc.); Santi is a decent level of routine - no more, no less. But for Forza collectors, this one seems definitely worth considering. Henry Fogel

Agreed about Tucci. Boy, we should have treasured her more back then.

Recently listened to a live 1962 Met Butterfly with her and Bergonzi that was simply one of the best I've ever heard.
