Just for your information, it isn't solid walnut. It's veneer, just like every other piano made.

Yep! Mine was made in 1917, and although it's made of what looks to be solid maple, it has a mahogany veneer.

You have an upright, IIRC. Most likely it is a poplar core. That's what was commonly used.
