The Dec 8th is the Stockholm performance, which has been around in different issued for some time. According to the MDT listing, the April 7th performance is conducted by Abendroth.

As mentioned in another thread, I already have this one, bought it last month... The Abendroth is previously unissued. The sound of it frankly quite poor, but it's a good performance, especially the first movement. The Furtwängler is made with the same band AND singers, so it offers an opportunity to compare both conductors view of the work in roughly similar setting. Furtwängler made better Ninths, but really it's still Furtwängler... Definitely one for the collectors with tolerance for limited sonics (I'm being euphemistic here). I like this release a lot, anyway!
Cheers,
François
