I was a little surprised myself so I looked 'em up. (http://firstsearch.oclc.org/) The '7's are the 'Classics to moderns' books edited by Denes Agay (who produced quite a few very nice anthologies). But the numbering covers the whole 'music for millions' series, which is indeed about a hundred titles. (I didn't read all the database records, but hand-edited the list of titles below.) dave

Hey if you don't mind, maybe you can indicate why lessons are not an option? In any case, have you considered finding someone who can help you out like 4 times a year, or twice a year? Videotape the session so you get the most from it.

My hours: very irregular. No teacher could keep up with them.
Actually, I have someone who helps me, once in a while. Have to admit: a good thing, but 'once in a while' is enough

You could try the Bastien Intermediate repertoire books, which are recommended after the beginner ones. Not tried them myself, but it may be worth browsing them to see whether you like them.
