Hello guest,
I'm sorry that someone took advantage of you. Often when a piano is moved it goes out of tune. Also, some, having sat for years without getting tuned take a few, (which isn't a good sign) to get and stay back in tune.
If you aren't interested in keeping it, and need the room, then youl could sell it. If it's in need of work, make sure to put that in the ad.
Used pianos are sometimes difficult to sell, as they are cumbersome, and difficult to move and often require work.
Another option is to cut your losses and offer the piano "free" to whoever wants, as long as THEY pick it up and do all the moving.
What kind of piano, and how much did you pay for the 1200lbs paperweight?
It's always sad when people are taken advantage of, and I'm sorry you were one of the less fortunate ones to have to receive it.
I hope you can resolve your situation,, and I hope the few words I've offered have given you any ideas.
Feel free to post again, and let us know how you are doing with the situation. I'd be interested to know what your decision is on this matter. Pianos can be such treasures, and since yours is fools gold, I have compassion for you.
Best wishes,
~B~
