Yep. The writing style is practically identical. (Even the racial slurs and cancer cursings.) Compare the tone of those things to the stuff that he spews at Dave & Larry.

Now as far as John's flair for writing: Yes, he does seem to have some similar styles of cleverly-biting prose (from the very small portions I have read on Google, so far). So, that part, *ONLY*, I take as a compliment.

Jeff, we, the old Kakers, spend time on the net because we don't have anything better to do. At 20, one should devote his time and resources to REAL life, to piano playing, books reading, REAL friends. Can you, sincerelly point to the benefits you gained from the USENET ? How did the USENET improved your piano playing, your REAL life ?

And the truth, if you still didn't get it, is that I don't have a high I.Q. I am too slow for these tests (not that I did one, but I did other 'psychometric' tests and I am very bad at solving riddles or logic games).

USENET, on the other hand, gives us an opportunity to meet people from all over the world acting in a way that they never would in person. USENET is both revealing and revolting at the same time.

And yes, I met great people here. And I got some benefits, but for X sake, I'm old. I'm not a young aspiring pianist or latex soprana trying to boost their ego on the net instead of living the life at 'twenties'.

What I found revolting, is the 'group of three' youngs, who supplement (or subsitute) their real life needs with countless postings on the USENET. For the australian girl it is an EGOndine problem, for the two others is a search for support, for recognition. That's fine, but at their ages they should be out in the REAL world looking for the fulfilment of their needs.
