Finally 'à paraître' according to the French magazine Diapason is a new DGG recording of Le marteau sans maître with Hilary Summers and Boulez conducting the Ensemble InterContemporain. Incredibly, this will be Boulez's fifth recording of the piece. After nearly half a century of performing it, Boulez has said that he will no longer conduct Marteau, but he made an exception for DGG's microphones. The same disc will include Boulez's recently completed Dérive II, which has grown from seven or eight to more than fifteen minutes in length since a first version was premiered a decade ago.
