looking CLP 170 in the US
I've been looking for a digital piano for a while. I went to a music store and tested a few last week. I like Casio AP65R and Roland MP60. Anyone has commands on these two models?

I've been hearing people talking about CLP 170 and didn't know how good it is until I went to a piano gallery and tested it yesterday. They told me that they are the only one who carry Yamaha Clavinova series. I really like the CLP 170 but the price they offer is too pricy, USD $3845 for rosewood. Most of the internet companies who sell CLP 170 are in UK. I wonder if anyone knows any place (internet) that I can buy a CLP 170 with a good price.

Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Sean,

Have you considered perhaps a Yamaha P120? Same action as the Clavinova, but it doesn't come with furniture, it is a portable. Price is $1100 everywhere. I loved the Clavinova, but didn't like the price, and didn't feel that for me the extra money was justified.

Thanks Jerry for your advice. I think that I am giving up CLP 170 because of its price. I was going to order Casio AP65R. But since you mention Yamaha P120, I'll drive by the music store again and give it a try. -Sean
