Yep. I suppose you mean Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, not Mendel Rabinovitch, right? She is considered a specialist.

Mendelssohn, yes. I think's she great having heard a few songs without words, but I cannot find a single cd. They must be out of catalogue or sth..

Her complete Mendelsohn piano music was issued by Vox. Only the Songs Without Words were reissued on a 2-CD set by Vox. Her playing is generally very good, but just a bit coarse. There's a very good Mendelssohn CD with Esther Budjiardo on Pro Piano (better quality playing & recording).

Meanwhile, has anyone reissued the recording by Ania Dorfmann of Mendelssohn's 'Songs Without Words,' which I have on old (1950's) RCA-Victor LPs?

Perish forbid, Matthew.

The Kyriakou Lieder ohne Worte were on a Vox 2fer that is probably OOP.

Actually they are available from Vox's on-demand service, http://www.cd101.net/

The 2-CD set also includes the Variations serieuses. Kyriakou's complete Albeniz and Chabrier are available, too, although I can't imagine why anyone would want them.
