<< Once upon a time, BMG offered this 2-cd set, transferred to digital from 1955, '58 & '59 concerts recordings. I've been trying to find it, but no luck. My personal favorite of these 3 symphonies is the stereo Mravinsky on DG (also long gone, AFAIK). Has anyone heard the Monteaux? And/or know where it might be available?

I thought these were studio recordings. In any event, the set was available both as an individual two-disc set, and as part of the multi-disc Pierre Monteux edition issued by BMG. They are all excellent performances, IMO. But then, Monteux is one of my favorite conductors, generally. Best, Ken Meltzer
