Hi all, I just joined today. I've been playing the piano since I was a toddler, and started taking lessons at age six and stopped in high school. I'm 27 now, and I still play the piano for fun, and enjoy learning new music from sheet music, and playing by ear. I grew up learning classical music from Bach, Beethoven, and the like. My favorite song to play is Fur Elise. Right now I'm working on Moonlight Sonata (also by Beethoven of course). My dream is to play Hungarian Rhapsody (the version most people are familiar with) by Lizst. I have the sheet music and eventually when I have time, I'd like to learn the whole piece.

Hi Kristin, I have been on and off with this newsgroup for several years and I can tell you this is the best group to answer any question you may have about your piano and /or playing. There is also solid appreciation of all types of music from what I have seen. Moonlight Sonata is an amazing piece to play. Are you working on all three movements ? I like using different synth sounds and effects for the first movement just for fun. Although I learned the second movement, I would always skip it to go right into the third movement. Very fun stuff, but time consuming. Good luck to you.
