This site offers a free service for finding your piano age from the serial number. They also offer to determine the value of your piano.

Note: It can be very difficult to determine value because it should be visually inspected by an professional. Any information given on http://www.concertpitchpiano.com/ SerialNumberUpright.html is not necessarily the opinion of this site.

Best wishes,

Hi Ivoryroad,

When this link was made available the site was offering the information for free. This is why it's become so important to me that I find new sources, and have had to scramble to get the lists for Canadian piano manufacturers from several sources.

Sometimes the older posts can be out-dated, at the top of each post and reply in the thread is the date posted. If a post is outdated we tend to just leave it to the wayside. Since it's still a valid link, and if someone wants to use them and will pay the fee, at least it's still there for them. Because we're not an exclusive site, we offer as many options as possible to our users, and let them decide what road they want to take.

Thanks for posting that though, since I was able to clarify to any further readers of this thread that the link is still valid, but that yes, they charge a fee now.

I should go through and update the posts and mark the ones that are no longer free.
