Is there anybody who thinks that Mr. Hatch would have earned that much from his songs if not for his 'day job'? I think I see something akin to a book business, a la Jim Wright and/or Newt Gingrich.

This kind of post is always dangerous, because you have to be very, very careful not to make an error of your own that would completely invalidate your point. For example, one shouldn't end a sentence with a preposition, should one? I'd say that error pretty much invalidates anything you might have had to say. Not to mention the discourtesy of not quoting some of the message to which you are responding.

It means I misspelled Orrin as Orin and somebody leaped on the error. I had a friend named Orin and just typed what I was familiar with. However, as Sen. Hatch's favorite President has proved, errors don't really count for much.
