Version 6.0 does not update previous versions, but installs itself afresh in its own directory. After installation, both versions 5 and 6 appeared in my Add/Remove programs utility (I can't explain why you don't have them there), and when I removed v.5, the newer version was unaffected.

One annoying thing is that I couldn't (in my first quick look, anyway) find any way to migrate my 'ignore' list. (Some apps just plain won't work without their adware files, though it's simple enough to change the 'hosts' file so they won't give away anything.)
