I played a Pearl River upright (about 48'

in a store about a month ago. Not a bad piano for the price, but it didn't sound or feel nearly as good as the better Japanese or U.S. made uprights. Certainly not in the same class as the Japanese Yamahas. But if your budget is very limited and you can't find a used piano in this price range, then it is an option. - - /******************************************************
