Hi!

I have been playing the piano part of Bachs /Gournouds Ave Maria with a family member playing the violin. I would like to know what other pieces of music would fit that difficulty level and instrument combinatiion?

First, it is Bach( 1st Prelude from WTC)/ Gounod.

You could try the Romances for violin and piano by Beethoven. Very easy. Also you could try some violin concertos by Bach. You play on the piano the reduction of the orchestra (that's how they are usually found in stores - a book with the piano reduction and the stave of the violin plus the separate violin score). In school I was playing with my violonist friend various violin concertos ( Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelsohn). You could start with the slow movements - especially Bach sounds very modern. Warning, the piano part is always easier than the violin solo !
