PianoDuo Concert

For those of you who may just 'happen' to be in Madrid next week, my piano duo will be performing a concert of contemporary music for one piano four hands. The concert will be held on Wednesday, June 19th at 7:30 PM (19:30) at the Reina Sofia Art Museum in Madrid. The program will be:

Jose Miguel Moreno 'Come un eco lontano...' (world premiere)

Jose Luis Turina 'Palindromos' 'Sonata y Toccata'

Conlon Nancarrow 'Sonatina'

George Crumb 'Celestial Mechanics' (Makrokosmos IV) (Spanish premiere)

I will be absoluely astonished if someone shows up there because of this

I would be delighted to provide your astonishment but, unfortunately, Madrid is not on my agenda for next week . Good luck TS

Have a nice time in Madrid (especially with regard to nightlife). Still two ours away - by plane. And, if I would show up, how would you get to know? Wearing a baseball cap treated with long-time afterglowing luminiscent pigment?

Well, come to Germany and I WILL wear it.

If you have time for the Prado, take a look at the little yellow dog from Goya.

Actually I live in Spain most of the year. If you were to come in a neon baseball cap I would give you a little knowing wink after each piece! Ah well, I will have to survive without your wnlightening presence. From what I hear I believe some of the better-known names in Spain may show up for this concert so I am really looking forward to it. Will have a glass of Spanish wine in your name (and Tom's!) after the concert.

Will do, it is just above where we will be playing! First time I saw it I was transfixed for a long time, very intense painting, not least because of it's sheer size.
