ok I have a problem I have been playing the piano for just 2 months and I am good with my right hand but the only thing I can do with my left hand is make a octave (or how ever it is spelled lol) is there a site that can teach you things to do with your left hand?

Thanks, Max

Everything you've done to develop your right hand should also work with your left hand. Play some scales, teach your fingers to move. Take it slowly, try to play simple scales and melodies evenly and in time with your left hand.

Some of the Bach solo cello pieces work well with the left hand. Certainly good for strength and dexterity. You may need something else for chords

Max, I resisted playing scales for the longest time. I now have a new teacher and he told me the first thing I needed to do was work on technique, at first I thought he meant volume, phrasing etc. It turned out that I need to strengthen my hands and program them to be able to instantly find the necessary keys.

I am currently working on Hanon's exercises and I have to say that even after just one week of practising these exercises I can feel my fingers, especially the weak 4th and 5th fingers, getting stronger. These exercises work both hands, thus strengthening equally.

Here is a link to the exercises:

Enjoy the Journey!
