If you mean RIB as a solo transcription, how about a nice medley of slow introspective Paul McCartney tunes? Something to bring the audience back down to earth easy. Just a thought.

Thanks,

Edvard

: Prokofiev Flute Sonata before the intermission which was followed by a 20th : century Christmas cantata with choir and orchestra. It was obvious that the : Prokofiev should have been before the Gershwin.

To put it mildly.

: I figure the music teacher did not listen to the solo pieces and (hard : to believe, but we're here in 'Old Europe' was not familiar with the RIB.

But why would you put a Prokofiev Flute Sonata as the last work before intermission even if you weren't familiar with the pieces? It's not exactly a rip-roarin' crowd pleaser.

: . . .IMO this warrants at least an apology from the : responsible music teacher(s) to those students even though the damage is : already done. : : Any thoughts?

An apology and a refresher course in Music History.
