Sure have. I'll consider anything interesting which would be a change from my Japanese piano.

Which arrondissement is that in?

In my original post I said Pianos Wagram, when I meant Pianos Daudé on Avenue Wagram, which runs off the Arc de Triomphe. Your post seems to imply that these shops are all reasonably close together. Is this correct?

I gather that Pianos Daudé has a second hand shop nearby, but as I visited it the day after Fête de la Musique, it was not open. I did briefly sample their (new) Steinways.

I also briefly visited Paul Beuscher on Boulevard Beaumarchais, and while that shop seemed more expensive, it at least had some second hand pianos on display.

It's the second hand market that is most appealing, as I can't see myself getting anything new. Tips on where to go to see second hand pianos (pianos d'occasion) would be most welcome.

Some people have a good memory! The answer is I'm not sure yet, but it's unlikely. Like the C7, surface shipping in both directions would mean that it would be out of action for a total 6 months for a posting of 2 years duration, which seems to reduce the benefit somewhat. And while the apartment will take a small grand, I doubt that it would take both. I'm likely to pick up a P80 or similar as the digital.

The eighth.

From the Arc de Triomphe take Avenue Hoche, then turn left at the 3rd cross street, which is Rue du Faubourg Saint Honore. Salle Pleyel will be on your right, and the piano dealer on your left.
