Does anyone know where I can get the Sinopoli recordings with the New York Philharmonic of the Richard Strauss tone poems? I think he did Death and Transfiguration and Zarathustra at least.

Also, does anyone have a listing somewhere of what specific pieces he recorded with NYP?

Thanks in advance!

Aside from the Strauss sel. I believe his only other recording with the NYPhil was Pictures at an Exhibition and Night on Bald Mt.

There was one of Scriabin (also unavailable in the US, apparently).

There is also (I think) a Scriabin disc, a Wagner overture disc, and perhaps some more that I can't recall OTTOMH. All of these are first rate, too.

It was available. I have it, purchased in the U.S. (I forget where, though. Maybe from BMG.)

The Respighi Roman Trilogy disc is also much treasured. He and the NYPO accompanied Gil Shaham on an excellent Saint-Saens/Paganini concerto disc.

This is a silly question, but what the heck does OTTOMH mean? I thought I'd gotten pretty good at recognizing internet acronyms, but that one is throwing me for a loop.

Off The Top Of My Head. Just a convenient way to save a few keystrokes.
