Hello,

I recently visited a site where loads of information about record collecting was available. Some of it covers classical recordings. It is called The Record Collectors Guild, and be found at www.recordcollectorsguild.org .

In addition to the articles and information that they supply, you will also find a message board where other collectors and dealers congregate. There are some interesting classical topics listed, and many classical recordings for sale. This board can be located at http://www.recordcollectorsguild.org/phpbb/index.php .

I hope this is of some interest to classical collectors here.

following letters to be typed in news:70599776.0302221344.365ac991

This site has been mentioned from time to time here. One does have to dig a bit for information related to classical music recordings, as it mostly seems to be hiding behind lots of rock- and pop-oriented stuff, but it is there. Of particular interest is this article, which I often recommend to people seeking to sell their LP collections:
http://www.recordcollectorsguild.org/ classics_value.html

Although it would be really nice if the people in charge of the site would fix the HTML so that it would be readable by those of us who still insist on using non-Microsoft browsers such as Netscape.

While I do not deny the usefulness of portions of this site, I do think your first paragraph might be disingenuous. If you are connected with this site, why fib about it? If you aren't, there's no harm in saying so.

Ditto Opera and iCab, in whatever versions I'm using.

There are problems in Opera and iCab, e.g. a dash that shows up either not at all or as something else. Despite what I said in a post I may or may not have successfully canceled.
