Somehow aquire 'The Readers Digest Merry Chrismas Songbook'. I brought it home from the library and cant put it down. Absolutely wonderful arrangements of all your favorite Christmas songs, carols and hymms. (and many more you never heard of) Having a wonderful time with it playing solo or singing with my kids. I saw it sold online for $34. Check it out. Its well done. Anyone else familar with this publication or others like it? regards, Roy

Until very recently I had 'Reader's Digest Songbook - Remembering Yesterdays Hits'. I ended donating it to the library. I couldn't stand seeing the organ pedal notes on the bass clef. I found that those notes made it more difficult to sightread the pieces, and you couldn't really ignore the pedal note anyway, as in many cases that was the root of the chord and it really needed to be played somehow. It felt more like an organ book that they decided to turn into a piano book. Early Beatles books are like that too.
