For the past few weeks, I've been experimenting with playing 12-bar blues in C, but turning the C, F, and G chords into minor chords and playing it real slow and with lots of expression. Tonight, I sped it up, dropped the thirds of the chords, and then threw the melody to Duane Eddy's 'The Trembler,' over the top in the right hand, and voila: A very easy and fun song to add to one's repertoire.

Admittedly, on the piano, it sounds a lot different than when it's played on a Les Paul Custom, with a Fender Twin Reverb tube amp, but still a very cool song.
Cheers, -Frank
P.S. This song is on the soundtrack for Natural Born Killers, and of course, several of Duane Eddy's albums. I think the Traveling Wilbury's did a cover it, as well.
