... from Decca, in March. See MDT's 'March New Releases.' Looks like a 24 CD ltd edition set, and individual issues

It looks like I was wrong, I guess all they're doing is reissuing the later stereo versions again, which have been on CD for a long time.

But if they're in one box, is it a space-saver? And what about libretti?

From the price of the individual operas on MDT and Amazon/UK (Tower/UK doesn't even list them yet!), these have to be two-fers, so you can forget about libretti, which Decca didn't supply in the previous CD versions, either.
The couplings make it pretty clear that these are the John Reed stereo versions (as somebody notes above), with no change except the price point. Since both Naxos and Pearl have already issued several of the 1950s Martyn Green versions, what possible use would it be for Decca to release them now? (Even if the original masters could possibly provide better sound...)

'What possible use?' These are tape recordings (in the main). The Naxos and Pearl reissues are poor; not entirely because they are from CEDARed LPs. There are splendid transfers from 'Sounds on CD', probably as good as can be from the vinyl; but it is likely, you know, that the master tapes transferred to CD would be fresher.

No doubt. My (rhetorical) question meant to ask what use would it be to *Decca* to remaster those recordings at this point. I had forgotten the 'Sounds on CD' versions, which makes three previous transfers of many of the G&S operas Decca might now release. All the die-hard fans of these performances have them now, and not too many would buy them yet again, I fear.
