Hi
I have a few questions: 1)The RCA Victor recording of Tchiakovsky's First Conc. performed by V.C and conducted Kiril Kondrashin with the RCA V. S. Orchestra; is this said to be better than his life performance at the Intl. Tchiakovsky.Comp. in Moscow? Was this performance ever recorded?
2) Which is his best (by consensus) recording of Rachmaninoff's third conc. (if he's recorded it more than once).
3)How does his recording of Rachmaninoff's second (RCA Victor, Fritz Reiner, Chicago Symphony) in 1961 compare with the earlier one (referred to in my first question)? There's also Beethoven's Emperor performed. How is this rated, generally?
Thanks a lot

I don't think the great Romanian pianist Consensus ever recorded the Rach Third.

He did, but not the Third, the Second. And he wasn't great yet but growing. And he wasn't a he, but a she. And she wasn't Romanian, but Bulgarian. Otherwise I am in total consensus with you.

Wrong. Consensus was the conductor. The pianist was Best.
