For an acoustic piano, what techniques are available to make the action heavier?

For digital pianos, are there models that allow for variation of the action? If not, is it possible to special order a heavier action if desired?

With my Alesis QS-8, you can change the action between a regular acoustic piano feel, or a lightweight keyboard feel. I don't know that much yet about acoustic pianos, but I'm sure there must be a way to counter-weight the keys to make the action heavier, if that's what you want. There are some brilliant piano techs here who can help you out.

Best Wishes,

You don't change the action. You change the response of the digital. Only the sound changes.

The simpleist approach for an acoustic piano is to add a certain kind of lead weight which is sold for the purpose.

Though certainly many pianos are harder to play, simply because they are out of regulation or may have excess friction issues.
