Virus Warning for RMCR

Today I recieved a 'Gibe-D' virus. Fortunately I use Pine to read mail and my university's server safely removed it anyway. The reason I am posting this here is the 'To:' line contained about 70 other e-mail addresses, many of which I recognized belonging to regulars in this Newsgroup. If you recieve a message titled 'Look at these update from Microsoft' from 'John Cox' do not open it, it contains a virus.

Thanks. 'Look at these update from Microsoft'? There may be a clue in there.

I've received it three or four times, but without other addressees. [Persistent SOB!] McAfee caught it the first time; I've just deleted it after that.

Avoid any e-mail that mentions an update from Microsoft, even though it looks kosher. Best to go to the Microsoft site itself, in order to check up on updates. I got a worm in one e-mail, which AVG fortunately warned me of, and removed it to the virus vault.
