I am hoping someone can help me get some information about my piano. I have a Walworth Upright Piano Serial No# 56845 made by M. Schulz, Co., Chicago. Does anyone know the age of this piano and if possible what it may be worth? It plays well but the outer shell needs to be refurbished?

Hi Andrew, this website has a list of a huge number of American piano manufacturers. I didn't see Walworth on the list, but the site does offer to look it up for you. There is no fee for their service. They ask for a pic if possible. The link to click is at the top of the maker list.

I hope the link helps, and that they can help you fogure out the age. Let us know how it works out.

B, you better get used to some members and/or guests that place questions here and don't check back in again to see the answers. They form a small percentage of the people posting here (luckily) but unfortunately such people do exist.

Thank you very much for your effort to answer Andrew

Andrew,
Did you ever get information for your Walworth? I also have a Walworth upright M. Schulz Co from Chicago piano. It's dark wood, but very soft wood and has gouges and scratches in the front. Wheels have also fallen out.

This is from an earlier post, I've copied it from myself.

Yes I did find out what I wanted. My Walworth was produced in 1910. The two back wheels had fallen off and there is deep scratched and gouges in it but I put on some wheels and used a product from antique store to get all the small scratches out and it looks a hundred percent better.

Broccoli's suggestions was dead on target. Thanks to all.
