I have an unright Wellsmore piano and it was built around 1918-1919...then the company went out of business so your's is probably as old. I bought it 12 years ago for 700..it had been totally reconditioned and I am trying to give it away as noone plays anymore and it takes up a lot of room (seems to be bigger than regular type uprights).

If you go to an online free classified site like kijiji then you will be able to find a home for your piano faster.

When I was looking for a piano, I had no money, and no way of getting a free one to my home as I suffer from chronic illnesses and I posted that. I received many offers of free pianos, all requiring pickup, but got one last one who was willing to bring it here.

There are free pianos out there, and people looking for them.

Just an idea. Best wishes,
~B~
