Hi, I wonder when you play the piano or any other instruments, what do you hear? I mean, do you just hear the sound of the instrument or also the solfege (like do re mi) in your head?
I learned piano for a while long time ago. At the very beginning, I played very simple pieces that consisted of only C, D, E, F, G for the right hand. As I played, I would sing the solfege in my head, in which the right hand fingering 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 would correspond to: do, re, mi, fa, sol. Later I developed an annoying habit of singing solfege in my head as I play, where the solfege correspond to my right hand fingering instead of the actual notes. For example, whenever I play with my right index finger, I would sing re in my head despite the actual note being played. I know this is totally wrong. What can I do to get rid of this habit?
Thank you in advance for answering!

Learn how to read music, it helps as you start saying the notes that you are meant to play.
If already know how to read music then I have no idea
