Hi folks, Going to take the plunge and buy a new Yamaha Silent Grand - either a C3 or a C5. C5's seem almost impossible to find at dealers (in the UK), but I certainly want to try and find one to do a side by side comparison before I decide. Any comparative info on the two pianos would be very useful. BTW, a C6 is out of the question as it's just too big for where it needs to be sited.

Thanks,

Are you sure that you cannot manage another 12cm (5'? Because C6 is a significant leap compared to C5.

For me, the C3 was the obvious choice. Typically, the larger the piano, the better. However, of the entire C-series I believe that the C3 or the C7 gives you the most 'bang for your buck'. Since the C7 is too large for your needs, I'd go for the C3.
