Hello,

(I am new to this newsgroup, hi!) I own a Yamaha Clavinova CVP 79A for some time now, I think about 4 years, and since 1 year now it gives errors when trying to read a disk, it only reads a disk correctly when I put it in when it's powered off and turn the digital piano on. When I power my piano on with no disk in it it asks if I want to format the disk. If I put in a disk when powered off and turn it on, and change disks it gives no response. I've tried cleaning the diskdrive but it didn't solve the problem. Anyone who had the same problem and fixed it? How did you fix it?

Why not swap the drive out and see if that fixes it? You could use a drive from an old PC at a flea market if you're not sure it's worth the expense. If that helps, you could buy a new drive at a PC store, they're not too expensive these days. Dennis.
